I am a Mother grieving the loss her Son through art. I do not consider myself an artist. Every now and then I like to draw or paint. I had done a few acrylic paintings over the years, took art in high school and half a year of Graphic Design in College. Always had a want and fascination to paint.
Dustin passed on February 23rd 2016, from fentanyl poisoning. He had 5 times the safe amount in his system.
It was the Fall of 2017 when I started to paint. Poetry and Photography became outlets for my grief/my love and loss of him and containers and outlets for my anguish and disbelief. What came about is what I now call 'The Addiction Series'.
