My name is Taylor John, I’m a 25-year-old woman from Victoria, BC, who lost her 20-year-old brother to a fentanyl overdose last September, 2020. My life has changed forever. To lose someone so close, so suddenly is horrific and tragic. I wake up every morning with such a heavy heart... I relive the pain caused by the loss daily. What hurts me more is to see and hear of so many others suffering from the same grief.
It has been the hardest year of my life and it means the world to me to be a part of this exhibit. I am an artist and through heavy emotions have come up with a series of drawings related to my brother that I would like to share.
