This is the debut exhibit for this project with one piece from each artist. We hope that this collection inspires new conversations around overdose as well as inspiring others who would like to take part in future collections.
These pieces were not commissioned for the show, the artists exhibited here created these pieces organically, in the moment of their experience, using their art as a way to process what they were feeling and have shared them on this platform as a message "From the Art".
Art has the potential to soothe a soul as well as to speak to others about those things which we cannot always find words for. In sharing the art collaboratively, the works tell stories that speak of the diversity of experiences that defy prejudice.
We hope you enjoy this collection and afterwards reflect on what this overdose crisis means to you.
